Gunslinger Girl has some of the best modern action-anime writing I've seen. Of course, it helps that I'm high on morning sunshine and tea, but ... wow. It's so good! Really really good! It takes the best elements of Noir, La Femme Nakita and Leon (Luc Besson) and combines them in a new and really tragi-wonderful way. Gunslinger Girl!!
